People often say Monero will grow more valuable as everyday usage increases. But that’s hard to imagine without a clear path to auto-debit (recurring payments) & better assimilation with day to day transactions. Most modern businesses rely on subscriptions, and Monero doesn’t yet offer a native way for merchants to charge customers on a set schedule without the customer initiating each payment.Yes, some Ledger hardware wallets include NFC for quick, one-tap interactions—but Monero still lacks the end-to-end support that makes tap-to-pay feel seamless. That matters in places where speed is everything, like high-throughput retail and hospitality (coffee shops, bars), events and stadiums, taxis/rideshare, delivery, and tipping. For larger businesses, the biggest missing capability is straightforward: auto-debit that lets companies bill reliably and predictably (Think phone/internet bills, Utilities, Rent etc). At the end of the day, most people and companies don’t care which rails the money uses…..as long as payments are low-friction and dependable. Until Monero can match those expectations, broad adoption will be tougher than it needs to be.If anyone can get in contact with the Devs about this issue I think it would greatly increase the coins value as a secure/private payment processing system that everyone uses & naturally adopts.
