Stricter availability regulations = good?

Here's a bold thesis on my part: I live in Europe, where the availability of Monero is severely restricted. Many exchanges do not offer Monero at all, and privacy coins will be banned next year. In addition, as is well known, you need the Monero GUI software, which is complicated to download. However, all these difficulties may have the positive effect of discouraging gamblers from taking an interest in Monero. This limits volatility and makes Monero more attractive as a means of payment. What do you think?
