Issue with Ledgen Nano S using Monero GUI

I had previously used previous generations of Monero GUI with a ledger nano S with no issue(v17.1.9 and lower). Tried using 17.1.9 and can no longer find any peers to start the node. So Ive upgraded to 17.3.1. But now when trying to spend from the ledger nano s it goes straight to the accept fee screen(on the ledger) and shows an incorrect fee amount than specified in monero GUI. Normally it asks me to confirm the address and the amount(on the ledger) before the fee and the fee was always exactly as specified in monero GUI. Either way I always reject the fee and cancel the transaction since the fee is not matching monero GUI and I want to be able to confirm the address and amount(on the ledger) before sending. I tried using v17.3.0 and still have the same issue.
