There are really good reasons why the rest of the software development world moved from the Waterfall methodology (plan everything out before time) to the Agile methodology (plan only up to a month ahead). The development team could be incompetent, deliver something you didn't ask for, or a whole host of other things.It allows you to cut your losses. You can fire the developers and get new ones.Instead, now we have a situation where 200k of Monero community money was taken by a bunch of scam artists who are slapping politically charged language on who is allowed to contribute (CoC), and shoving in Z-trash without consent from the Monero community, which could result in a misinformed member of our community flying right into a fed honeypot scam.Because of this, now there's a pretty big problem; people can assume you can just fork open source projects from Github and it'll all be fine and dandy. However, if you decide to fork to remove a CoC or anything deemed "politically correct," you basically get blacklisted from open source development. Ergo, nobody will work on the fork as it will malign their career, therefore, the fork will be dead within a month or two.Before people criticize against having a CoC, let it be known that neither Bitcoin nor Monero have a CoC and seem to be doing just fine. Everyone knows the exact reason why it was added here to Haveno; it allows for quasi-corporate control over who is allowed to develop and who isn't. Is corporate control something you want seeping into Monero? Well, now you have it, in what is supposed to be a critically important part of the Monero ecosystem.Moving back to the point I made in my title, giant community funding projects like Haveno in the future should be done piece-by-piece rather than one lump sum.
