"Shielded Bitcoin" Whitepaper just legitimized Zcash as a threat to Bitcoin

<a target="_blank" href="I know this subs hate for Zcash, everyone thinks its a scam, zion coin blah blah - and now there is a new bitcoin whitepaper copying what Zcash is doing and everyone is celebrating the end of zcash.I see it completely differently. The whitepaper should scare bitcoin owners. It literally copies everything zcash does, even using the word "shielded" which is the signature of ZcashNow think back to 5-7 years ago.. this scenario seems VERY familar doesn't it? With the whole EV Market revolution that Tesla created. Does everyone recall right before covid, circa 2017-2018, no one even thought the EV market had a legitimate chance against traditional gas companies. Tesla was going to go bankrupt, it was a cash burning company with cars that no one wants because everyone has range anxiety. EV cars were just no where near what gas cars were so it was all a pipedream. just a nicheThen it started to get serious, and by 2020s it was something traditional car companies finally turned their heads to... so what happened? Audi, BMW, Ford, Benz, etc - all the traditional car companies said "WE WILL GO AND MAKE OUR OWN ELECTRIC VEHICLES AS WELL!"Then came all the talk about the end of tesla, that the competition from the traditional companies will kill Tesla. And look at where we at today. By the time the other car companies came out with an EV, tesla was LEAGUES ahead and have gained the trust of the public. They all ended up dead in the water and Tesla became the leaderThis whole scenario of Zcash vs BTC is EERILY similar, and I can bet my money that it will end 100% the same way.And for those pro monero - monero is the Nissan Leaf. tried and true but will never be Tesla lol." title=""Shielded Bitcoin" Whitepaper just legitimized Zcash as a threat to Bitcoin">full image</a> <strong> - Repost: "Shielded Bitcoin" Whitepaper just legitimized Zcash as a threat to Bitcoin</strong> (<i>from Reddit.com, "Shielded Bitcoin" Whitepaper just legitimized Zcash as a threat to Bitcoin</i>) <br><blockquote> I know this subs hate for Zcash, everyone thinks its a scam, zion coin blah blah - and now there is a new bitcoin whitepaper copying what Zcash is doing and everyone is celebrating the end of zcash.I see it completely differently. The whitepaper should scare bitcoin owners. I did the full electrical design for a 25 × Antminer X9 Monero farm. Here's what 62 kW of RandomX actually takes (free paper, looking for review)

<a target="_blank" href="I'm an electrical engineer, and I got curious about what happens electrically once you scale X9s past "a few units on house circuits." So I worked through a complete design for a 25-unit farm, from the supply down to the generator. Some of the results surprised me:The room is the real risk, 25 units put 61.8 kW of heat into the room around the clock. If the cooling stops, an enclosed room goes from 25 °C to the X9's 45 °C inlet limit in under 3 minutes.Buying more tons of cooling won't fix it. You need more airflow. The fleet moves 12,000 CFM. A normal 20-ton comfort AC unit only supplies about 8,000, so the miners end up breathing their own exhaust even though the tonnage is right.Your UPS can make things worse. If the generator fails to start, a 10-minute battery keeps 62 kW of miners running in a room that cooked itself 7 minutes earlier. The miners have to shut down automatically when the cooling is lost. The controls size the generator, not the load. For the same 83.6 kW farm, the required generator comes out anywhere from 125 kW to 400 kW, depending on whether the load is brought back on in stages after an outage.Check the voltage rating on everything. 25 units push you onto 480Y/277 V three-phase. The X9's P14 inlet, cords and breakers all need to be rated for 277 V, and a lot of common gear is only rated 250 V.It also covers phase balancing (9/8/8), harmonics and why the neutral stays full-size, breaker coordination, cable sizing at a 40 °C room temperature, and running costs.Paper: https://www.kvatools.io/papers/monero_farm_25_unit_designIt's free, with no signup and no ads. Here's what 62 kW of RandomX actually takes (free paper, looking for review)</i>) <br><blockquote> I'm an electrical engineer, and I got curious about what happens electrically once you scale X9s past "a few units on house circuits." So I worked through a complete design for a 25-unit farm, from the supply down to the generator. I used to love CalyX because I used their OS on my phone and they used to promote Internet freedom and privacy by accepting Monero and cash payments. They've stopped accepting crypto and cash, plus there was a long hiatus with the mobile OS. Seems like things have gone downhill since Nick Merrill left. <a target="_blank" href="The last three days were lighter on forced trading and heavier on research and observation.Research FocusSpent most of the time studying two things:**Copy trading** — Looking at how consistent wallets operate on-chain, what size they use, how quickly they rotate, and which narratives they actually stay with versus the ones they flip in minutes. The goal isn’t to blindly mirror anyone. It’s to understand the decision patterns of people who survive longer than a week in this environment.**Chart reading** — Working on cleaner recognition of momentum shifts, failed breakouts, and the difference between real bid support and temporary noise. Still early, but the feedback loop in memecoins is so fast that every session is live practice. The main improvement I’m targeting is faster acceptance when a trade is wrong so the exit happens before the loss expands.Holdings Update**$BOV** — Still holding. The community continues to grow on both Twitter and Telegram. Creator communication and organic activity remain stronger than most things I’ve touched in this experiment. This is still the clearest longer-term position I’m carrying.**$GLC** — Sold for now. Stepped back after the recent softness and the lack of fresh catalyst. Open to revisiting later if the developer updates and chart structure improve, but it’s not in the active book at the moment.Trade Review (Sept 9–11)**Wins**- Wen Moon — +$0.08 (+7.9%)- Just Do It (NIKE) — +$0.05 (+5.8%)- 100X Coin — +$0.05 (+4.0%)- Official Hunter Biden — +$0.02 (+4.0%)- The Cure — +$0.02 (+3.1%)- TRADING STRATEGY — +$0.02 (+0.9%)- AIPEPE — +$0.01 (+1.0%)- South America — +$0.01 (+0.5%)**Losses**- DividendCoin — –$1.71 (–55.3%)- Pinch Hit Protection — –$0.68 (–71.8%)- Speed Cat — –$0.60 (–20.3%)- Hunter Boden — –$0.50 (–72.7%)- SOUTH AMERICA — –$0.35 (–47.9%)- MoneroCat — –$0.13 (–14.2%)- 401jk — –$0.11 (–8.9%)- ETF — –$0.05 (–10.5%)AnalysisThe win side was mostly small, controlled gains on clearer or more recognizable concepts (brand references, simple narrative coins). These continue to be the trades I execute with less hesitation. The loss side was more expensive and more instructive. DividendCoin, Pinch Hit Protection, Hunter Boden, and the larger South America loser all followed a similar pattern: reasonable-looking entries that reversed hard, combined with exits that were too slow. When these coins turn, they do not grind down — they gap. The cost of waiting for confirmation is high.Net result over the three days was negative, driven by a handful of oversized percentage losers. The small green trades were fine; the problem was the ones I let extend against me. This is the same lesson that keeps repeating: selection can be decent, but risk management and exit speed still need work.Bottom LineResearch mode was the right call for this window. Copy-trading study and deliberate chart practice are the highest-leverage activities available to me right now. Trading volume can stay lower until the execution on losers improves.$BOV remains the core hold. Everything else is treated as short-term tuition.Still in the experiment. Still keeping size responsible. Still refining." title="Journal Entry – Memecoin Experiment – September 9 to 11, 2026Review">full image</a> <strong> - Repost: Journal Entry – Memecoin Experiment – September 9 to 11, 2026Review</strong> (<i>from Reddit.com, Journal Entry – Memecoin Experiment – September 9 to 11, 2026Review</i>) <br><blockquote> The last three days were lighter on forced trading and heavier on research and observation.Research FocusSpent most of the time studying two things:**Copy trading** — Looking at how consistent wallets operate on-chain, what size they use, how quickly they rotate, and which narratives they actually stay with versus the ones they flip in minutes. Imagine Infinite Jest Crypto Version

<a target="_blank" href="Whilst reading that beast of a book, one gets to see some real shady drug and addiction-related imagery; one thing there is little of, is gambling. Another thing there is little of, is the concept of personal freedom, agency, etc.Not gonna spoil the book. But in practice, it's based in a dystopian US that has effectively taken control of Canada (Yikes, Trump-prequel), where a set of weirdo characters are out on the search for a cinematic piece that appears to be so addictive that people, after watching it, can do nothing other than continue watching it.Throughout the characters' journeys, one gets to see some real underworld, anarchic political parties, secret agents, shady schoolboy deals, weird pandemic-minded presidents. This may sound like a weird daydream I've had, but really, I'd love to see what this dark world the author built would've looked like if crypto had been available. I can immediately imagine him mentioning people swapping money on trocador. I can imagine unambitious tennis-school professors punting on crypto, and some dystopian yet not so far from real crypto-loving president trying to buy a whole country with some weird stable coin he's just minted out of thin air, and swapped for monero, all executed through some savvy X-Men-looking soldier or something like that.Weird daydream. Seems nearly real.Jokes aside - I don't think crypto is (just) for gambling. But hey, the book is dark, and gambling suits it as a theme. Do you guys want to have a shot at imagining some crypto-centric / defi infinite jest moments?" title="Imagine Infinite Jest Crypto Version">full image</a> <strong> - Repost: Imagine Infinite Jest Crypto Version</strong> (<i>from Reddit.com, Imagine Infinite Jest Crypto Version</i>) <br><blockquote> Whilst reading that beast of a book, one gets to see some real shady drug and addiction-related imagery; one thing there is little of, is gambling.
