Built a working 2-of-3 wallet buyer, seller, and us as the third/tiebreaker key, where any two signatures move funds. Funded it with test coins and walked the full ceremony end to end.Honest takeaway: Monero multisig is hard. It needs an interactive multi-round key exchange, the wallets have to stay in lockstep, and a wallet can look set up while not actually being finalized (which would strand funds if you didn't catch it). We hit that exact edge case on stagenet with fake coins, which is the whole point of testing there first. Now building it the reliable way.The model (what we're calling Option C):- Default flow stays zero-JS, operator-mediated, custodial. fast and simple- Multisig will be opt-in for people who want trustless escrow, clearly labeled, and it requires JavaScript (browser multisig can't work without it)We're always the third key ourselves, not outsourcing mediation. Flat fee on multisig trades, no fee on cancelled or refunded ones. Plan is: stagenet prototype → adversarial testing → a week of paid testers trying to break it → only then mainnet.**Also shipped recently (beyond the v1.0.9.5 notes)**- Full audit of the money-movement flow, release and refund paths are now atomic- Buyer-set refund addresses; cancelled escrows return the full deposit (fee only on completed releases)- More resilient routing (removed a home-network single point of failure)- Verified, restorable encrypted backupsStill operator-mediated by default and honest about it.
