Internet Service

<a target="_blank" href="I've had the CalyX hotspot for three years now. I just discovered Computers 4 People dot org which appears significantly more affordable. Is anybody using this other service? From what I can tell it looks the same and it's $344 cheaper per year. I'm curious of the pros and cons. I used to love CalyX because I used their OS on my phone and they used to promote Internet freedom and privacy by accepting Monero and cash payments. They've stopped accepting crypto and cash, plus there was a long hiatus with the mobile OS. Seems like things have gone downhill since Nick Merrill left. Anyways, this other service looks comparable and much more affordable. Only $156/year as opposed to CalyX's $500 Does anybody have experience with Computers 4 People?" title="Internet Service">full image</a> <strong> - Repost: Internet Service</strong> (<i>from Reddit.com, Internet Service</i>) <br><blockquote> I've had the CalyX hotspot for three years now. Journal Entry – Memecoin Experiment – September 9 to 11, 2026Review

<a target="_blank" href="The last three days were lighter on forced trading and heavier on research and observation.Research FocusSpent most of the time studying two things:**Copy trading** — Looking at how consistent wallets operate on-chain, what size they use, how quickly they rotate, and which narratives they actually stay with versus the ones they flip in minutes. The goal isn’t to blindly mirror anyone. It’s to understand the decision patterns of people who survive longer than a week in this environment.**Chart reading** — Working on cleaner recognition of momentum shifts, failed breakouts, and the difference between real bid support and temporary noise. Still early, but the feedback loop in memecoins is so fast that every session is live practice. The main improvement I’m targeting is faster acceptance when a trade is wrong so the exit happens before the loss expands.Holdings Update**$BOV** — Still holding. The community continues to grow on both Twitter and Telegram. Creator communication and organic activity remain stronger than most things I’ve touched in this experiment. This is still the clearest longer-term position I’m carrying.**$GLC** — Sold for now. Stepped back after the recent softness and the lack of fresh catalyst. Open to revisiting later if the developer updates and chart structure improve, but it’s not in the active book at the moment.Trade Review (Sept 9–11)**Wins**- Wen Moon — +$0.08 (+7.9%)- Just Do It (NIKE) — +$0.05 (+5.8%)- 100X Coin — +$0.05 (+4.0%)- Official Hunter Biden — +$0.02 (+4.0%)- The Cure — +$0.02 (+3.1%)- TRADING STRATEGY — +$0.02 (+0.9%)- AIPEPE — +$0.01 (+1.0%)- South America — +$0.01 (+0.5%)**Losses**- DividendCoin — –$1.71 (–55.3%)- Pinch Hit Protection — –$0.68 (–71.8%)- Speed Cat — –$0.60 (–20.3%)- Hunter Boden — –$0.50 (–72.7%)- SOUTH AMERICA — –$0.35 (–47.9%)- MoneroCat — –$0.13 (–14.2%)- 401jk — –$0.11 (–8.9%)- ETF — –$0.05 (–10.5%)AnalysisThe win side was mostly small, controlled gains on clearer or more recognizable concepts (brand references, simple narrative coins). These continue to be the trades I execute with less hesitation. The loss side was more expensive and more instructive. DividendCoin, Pinch Hit Protection, Hunter Boden, and the larger South America loser all followed a similar pattern: reasonable-looking entries that reversed hard, combined with exits that were too slow. When these coins turn, they do not grind down — they gap. The cost of waiting for confirmation is high.Net result over the three days was negative, driven by a handful of oversized percentage losers. The small green trades were fine; the problem was the ones I let extend against me. This is the same lesson that keeps repeating: selection can be decent, but risk management and exit speed still need work.Bottom LineResearch mode was the right call for this window. Copy-trading study and deliberate chart practice are the highest-leverage activities available to me right now. Trading volume can stay lower until the execution on losers improves.$BOV remains the core hold. Everything else is treated as short-term tuition.Still in the experiment. Still keeping size responsible. Still refining." title="Journal Entry – Memecoin Experiment – September 9 to 11, 2026Review">full image</a> <strong> - Repost: Journal Entry – Memecoin Experiment – September 9 to 11, 2026Review</strong> (<i>from Reddit.com, Journal Entry – Memecoin Experiment – September 9 to 11, 2026Review</i>) <br><blockquote> The last three days were lighter on forced trading and heavier on research and observation.Research FocusSpent most of the time studying two things:**Copy trading** — Looking at how consistent wallets operate on-chain, what size they use, how quickly they rotate, and which narratives they actually stay with versus the ones they flip in minutes. Imagine Infinite Jest Crypto Version

<a target="_blank" href="Whilst reading that beast of a book, one gets to see some real shady drug and addiction-related imagery; one thing there is little of, is gambling. Another thing there is little of, is the concept of personal freedom, agency, etc.Not gonna spoil the book. But in practice, it's based in a dystopian US that has effectively taken control of Canada (Yikes, Trump-prequel), where a set of weirdo characters are out on the search for a cinematic piece that appears to be so addictive that people, after watching it, can do nothing other than continue watching it.Throughout the characters' journeys, one gets to see some real underworld, anarchic political parties, secret agents, shady schoolboy deals, weird pandemic-minded presidents. This may sound like a weird daydream I've had, but really, I'd love to see what this dark world the author built would've looked like if crypto had been available. I can immediately imagine him mentioning people swapping money on trocador. I can imagine unambitious tennis-school professors punting on crypto, and some dystopian yet not so far from real crypto-loving president trying to buy a whole country with some weird stable coin he's just minted out of thin air, and swapped for monero, all executed through some savvy X-Men-looking soldier or something like that.Weird daydream. Seems nearly real.Jokes aside - I don't think crypto is (just) for gambling. But hey, the book is dark, and gambling suits it as a theme. Friends think I should add in a romance. I'm not so sure. Just want to get some of your opinions.

<a target="_blank" href="A novel I'm working on is a slow paced thoughtful science fiction. I'm trying to make the science as hard as I can while still giving allowances for fantastic future technology (like gravity manipulation and functioning Alcubierre drives)The main character is Nabihah El Sayid. A starship captain within SEAD (Space Exploration and Analysis Directorate) Which is kind of like NASA. She's a scientist first, and also a competent leader. She's idealistic and a pacifist. The story revolves around her being the Captain on the Starship አሲሲ (Assissi) Which is one of 20 brand new top of the line D-Srev (Deep-Space Research and Exploration Vessel) which are part of the next wave of deep space exploration. When she is interviewed for the role, she finds out that there will be a platoon of Marines assigned to the ship as well. She's very not happy about this, she believes that the military is a dinosaur and should've been disbanded long ago since Earth hasn't had any military conflict for over a hundred years. Her objections are over ridden.Alejandra Monero is a Captain within the Commonwealth Marine Corps. And commanding officer of the Marines assigned to the አሲሲ. Whereas Nabihah is a bit more laid back and casual in her command style, Alejandra is very much a military woman, and she believes that humanity still needs a dedicated fighting force because as idealistic as you might be, you just never know what might be out there. So, the ideological conflicts of these two characters serve to explore many of the themes in this story, and by the end they of course get a new appreciation and understanding of the others point of view. But every time I've talked about this book and discussed the story to other people, almost all of them ask if there's a romance between the two.I think I might have entertained the notion a while ago possibly. But it was never any intention for that. I in fact absolutely hate "unneeded" romances, especially if it's the lead boy and lead girl just getting paired off for no reason. I find I often will rarely have romances in my stories unless there's a specific story reason for it.In fact, those two had different relationships happening. Nabihah met someone on Earth at the beginning of the book and they try a long distance relationship while she's on the ship. And Alejandra was in a polyamorous relationship with other people on Earth. But a few people have told me now that I should really consider having a romance between the two, even if it's just subtextual. Apparently it will give the story some more mainstream appeal. But I wonder if that's even something I should be thinking about considering it's a slow and thoughtful hard sci fi.Anyway, what do you think? Any opinions? Similar anecdotes?" title="Friends think I should add in a romance. I'm not so sure.
