Proxy with Tor?

I have Orbot setup, and I'm using an onion node in my app.There are proxy settings in the app. Server, Tor port, and I2P port.I don't have a good understanding of proxies, and I was just wondering what the benefits of using a proxy alongside Tor would be. Currently, the server is just my loop back address and I left the default ports.Is this just an in-app way to set up a Tor or I2P proxy, and should I ignore it?Thanks
